The 5th Annual Blue Man Group FMF Drum-Off!
Congratulations to JACOBI GUNTER of Columbia, South Carolina! Blue Man Group teamed up with Florida Music Festival to host the 2018 Orlando Drum-Off competition on Saturday, May 12th in downtown Orlando at Wall St Plaza. Drummers across the USA competed to participate in the competition and show their creativity, technical ability, and purely awesome drumming skills.
The panel selected five finalists Devonte Gray, Jacobi Gunter, Miguel Gutierrez, Terrell Johnson & Curtis Lyons Jr. from 15 semi-finalists, to perform a 90-second live set at the Wall Street Plaza Main Stage on the closing night of Florida Music Festival! Our guest celebrity judge Will Hunt, from Evanescence among other bands is helped to select the winner from the amazing finalists!
The Jacobi took home a full drum set from DW Drums, Sabian rock performance cymbals, Vic Firth sticks and gift pack, and VIP tickets to Blue Man Group at Universal Orlando Resort™, a prize package valued at over $5,000. Semi-finalists will receive VIP tickets as a reward for their efforts as well.
